"Abigail is a transliteration of the Japanese "Abigeiru" (アビゲイル). "Abigail" is a feminine proper name, in the Old Testament, Abigail the Carmelitess, a wife of David, from the Hebrew אֲבִיגָיִל, literally "my father is rejoicing," from אֲבִ, meaning "father," and גָיִל, meaning "to rejoice."
"Abigail" is used in the general sense as "lady's maid" from a character of the same name in Beaumont and Fletcher's "The Scornful Lady." The waiting maid association perhaps began with I Sam. XXV, where David's wife often calls herself a "handmaid."
Abigail has chin-length blonde hair with short bangs swept to the left and two fringes that frame her face. She has silver eyes and wears the standard uniform.
